Mahaz praises people of Srinager

President Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi(MeA), Mir Mohammd Iqbal in a statement has thanked and praised people of Srinager for staying away from Sham Parliamentary elections in Kashmir. Iqbal said, “This has once again strongly proved that the façade elections in Kashmir have no bearing on the nature of dispute,” adding, “By pressure tactics and entice in the name of fake development can`t kill the resolute of Kashmiris.” Mahaz-e-Azadi believes in overall growth associated with progress but can only be ensured by durable and acceptable resolution of Kashmir, respecting wishes-sentiments of common people of Jammu Kashmir, Mir said.
President MeA maintained that Kashmir being the nuclear flash point in the region ,if remains unresolved can invite another combat rather a full scale nuclear war-a manmade catastrophe- therefore to guarantee peace in South Asia, it is obligatory for Pakistan and India to resolve the issue for their own benefits and interests .

Mahaz condemns arrests in Kashmir

Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA) president Mir Mohammad Iqbal in a statement has denounced the arrest of Senior Muslim conference leader and Chief Office superintendent APHC Shabir Ahmad Dar ,who was on way to Aghler Pulwama to attend a condolence meet , were two youth achieved martyrdom on Monday . In the garb of parliamentary elections , state administration has started arresting Hurriyat leaders at the behest of Government ,which is highly condemnable , Mir said. President MeA maintained that as per programme of APHC people are urged to remain aloof from elections because they have not yielded any results and is merely a futile practice, by holding elections in Kashmir , the nature of the dispute can not be changed , therefore to seek a durable and acceptable solution to Kashmir tangle, it is only tripartite discourse which will work out.

Mahaz-e-Azadi pays rich tributes to Maqbool Butt

Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA) convenes an extra-ordinary meeting at its party headquarters Srinagar chaired by Mahaz President Mir Mohammad Iqbal . In the meeting rich tributes were paid to Batal-e-Hurriyat , Shaheed-e-Azam Mohammad Maqbool Butt on his 25th martyrdom and in the meeting it was unanimously decided that his martyrdom shall be commemorated with much zeal and respect. “Martyrdom of Maqbool Butt has ushered a new chapter in the history of Kashmir resistance movement ;by giving a new flip to Kashmir freedom struggle” Mir Said, “No matter Maqbool Butt is bodily absent but his mission will be carried till to the logical conclusion” President MeA Mir Mohammad Iqbal reiterated that India and Pakistan must be prompt to restart the dialogue process because it is only discourse which steers a way for any resolution even Kashmir tangle can be resolved through the comprehensive channels of communication, as ascribed by Shaheed-e-Azam Mohammad Maqbool Butt in one of his letters that : “ If communication stops -then beating and burning begins” MeA firmly believes in meaningful parleys meant to solve Kashmir imbroglio peacefully as per the aspirations of peoples of Jammu Kashmir, Mir said. In the meeting it was maintained that any tailored solution to Kashmir will be unaccepted to MeA unless not uttered as per the wishes and ambitions of naïve Kashmiris which according to the party shall be a affluent homage to Shaheed Maqbool Butt.
